DIBDEN PURLIEU FLOWER SHOW
The annual show at St.Andrew’s is a good old fashioned village get-together where everyone engages in friendly rivalry while competing for the cups and trophies in the classes for fruit, vegetables, flowers, baking, wine or even “A Small Piece of Woodcarving”. This year our club entered seven carvings in that category and we were the only ones to do so and therefore were sure to walk off with the prizes. We even had one of our own to do the judging in Allan Mechen, but he had no prior knowledge as to who had carved what and after careful consideration he awarded first to Cec Clarke for his Lily, second to Roger for his plane and third to Pippa for her Hippo.
